Machida Heights is a warm slice of analog tape thickly laden with synth bass, distorted FM signals, abstract chords, and trickling kalimba. Trippy and atmospheric house music with melodic polyrhythms telling an interesting story throughout. Japanese master of the Hi-Tech Soul sound Satoshi Fumi takes the loose sound palette of the original version and reinvents a tight vision of his piano driven signature style. Galactic in scope, this is Satoshi Fumi at his absolute best. Channelling elements of traditional Detroit techno and Tokyo future club music to powerful effect.
