The second EP release on RF by UK artist D'Funk is a heavy excursion. Starting with a club friendly remix by the legendary Perseus Traxx, it's driven by rattling, detailed percussion, analog punch, and unique melodic detail. Very effective. The three originals by D'Funk are all chunky techno workouts, each with a different take on over-driven drums and raw machine sound design. He creates a tuff sound, with both soul and aggression in equal measure. RF label regular Spin Fidelity completes the package with a duo of remixes, one toward the driving, chord driven Detroit style and the other laid back into a crisp, acid laden electro break.
